I noticed a small storefront for rent on Greene near Grand last weekend. I don’t know what’s reasonable for a commercial space, or what this one is going for. But I do know it’s around the corner from the cool stuff on Grand (including the still-unopened Mirror’s on Grand!) and across from the liquor store that’s recently undergone a bit of an upgrade.
Looks perfect for something cool. Go to it, entrepreneurs!

It’s a former hair salon and has been for rent for probably six months. I agree, a good location.
What happened to the retail space around the corner on Grand? Whole new facade, then…nothing, windows still papered over, no signs of life.
We heard it’s already taken. Can’t say by whom yet, but if the rumor’s true, it’ll be a great addition to the nabe.

That liquor store has become our regular stop for wine. So glad they lost the plexiglass. Now they just have to get some reasonably priced good champagne in there. It’ll be cool to see what shows up in there. And what on earth is Mirrors on Grand? LOL
It wasn’t a salon, it was a laundry-mat as I remember. Or is that a few buildings over?
Anyway, a brick over pizza spot would be AWESOME!

i like how the laundromat next door has a sign offering “Drop of Service.” just a dollop o service please!
this WAS the laundromat. i used to do all of my laundry here. the owners packed up shop in a hurry; i think they still had unclaimed drop-offs. im still looking for a good replacement laundromat that offers judge judy while doing my wash.
