You are way better than me – when i see buildings that interest me, I pray pray pray that they remain my little secrets until I can afford them. or that i meet and befriend/sex the owners and somehow wiggle my way into ownership or at least first dibs. oh, pipe dreams.

did anyone read the ny times article about the guy who broke into an abandoned brownstone in park slope, found some old postcards, contacted the family of the man who owned it, and ended up buying it from them (in spain) for next to nothing? it could happen to you! (i’m not advocating a break in though)
There are so many of those carriage houses that I covet on Waverly. Oh the drool and desperation.
