A reader confirmed the immediate shuttering of Pan/m y Mas today (was it ever even operational?), and sent me this photo from a camera phone of the space being reworked again. He hopes it’s a Smoke Joint expansion. I concur- more seating would make the place even more kick-ass.
(Seriously, wtf was up with Pan/m y Mas? Who would only give themselves a few days to try out a new business??)

last time i was in smoke joint i heard rumors of a 2nd location or possible expansion from the staff and owners. (there were really mums about it knowing i’d put it on here) maybe they made these people an offer they couldn’t refuse for the space? i really hope so – it was packed and impossible to find a seat last time.
The Smoke Joint had a verbal agreement with the previous owners to take over the space, but then the Pam/n y/& Mas/More moved in. They had planned to break down the wall and put a kind of staging kitchen in Blimpie space. Maybe it’ll happen now…?
Maybe it was an art installation, the point being to see how many blogs would take notice…
Smoke joint rocks. More seating would be great.
