Has anyone checked out the brow threading place yet? It was open this weekend, and someone kinda fixed the sign…

I’m trying to grow my brows out so I can test them out and report.

It was opened on saturday. I took pictures of a lady getting some threading work done. It’s on my site. Like most threading shops there was a video of how threading is done playing in the window.
Don’t you mean HEENA tatto(o)?
I kind of wish something else could have moved in, the place is a bit gaudy, no?
I stopped in when I noticed it was open last Thursday. Just one person working, and she threaded me in, like, 1 minute while apparently another client was in a back room enjoying a facial. I appreciated the speed but it was a bit ouchy; she also kept trying to up-talk me into additional services. But I chalk that up to just!opened! enthusiasm. And it definitely beats taking the train to Shobha in SoHo — also costs half as much. Score!
Lame. Next business please.
so cheep and they do a great job AND a free henna tattoo for the greand opening! Super Bonus!
where is this?
My god, I can’t believe I missed mocking out “HEENA” twice now!
First of all, I have no idea what threading is, can someone fill me in? And as such, I find it hard to believe that there are enough people around who partake of it to keep a business going! Not that I wish anyone to fail, it’s just curious to me.
i’m bettin 3 months max… perhaps it’s the really bad signage and spelling – but adios!
agreed, give me a cute bakery or florist, or something! All hairiness aside, there are so many other businesses our great neighborhood could use to such a greater degree…
Personally, I just cannot give my business to a place that doesn’t care enough to check the spelling on their signage.
TO KS: I felt bad because no one else was answering your question, so I looked it up for you; “threading” is a hair-removal method that uses a couple of long pieces of thread twisted together. The threads are manipulated in such a way that hair is trapped between the twisting threads and then yanked out, the way you’d use a tweezer to yank out a stray hair or two.
Thanks Kim! Just as I suspected…NOT something I’d opt for!
[...] The Threading Place first opened, I admittedly made fun of the spelling errors on their sign. I did go in a few times, but found the employees to be high pressure and [...]
