While walking around on a recent weekend, I ran into this building on Fulton at Classon:
Seems odd, as it looks new and yet the doors are boarded up from the inside. Looks like it might be affordable condos?

A 1-br with marble baths for 250k? AND central air? What’s the catch?
Ooo…looks like Brownstoner did a post on this place back in January 2006! And again in August for an open house! (I should know by now to check him first for info on all things new construction in the hood. Do check out the ridiculous placement of the stove hood in the photos. WTF?)
So, what ended up happening here? No one moved in? Info, anyone?

What total crap.
I noticed this building in passing the other day, too. What is up with the exterior doors on the upper levels leading nowhere? I found that the weirdest of all.
When all else fails, try http://www.affordablecondos.com
this bldg. is an abomination. yes you are late. i don’t know why no one has moved in… let’s just hope they blow it up and start over from scratch.
This is a New Start building. They did a really crappy job renovating. Weird angles, floors slanted, etc. I live in one of their “middle income” rental buildings which is much nicer.
reno? i’m pretty sure this was from the ground up. my neighbor went to the open house and was aghast at how horribly built the building is – sloping floors, strange layouts etc. truly an UGLY building. its more of an eyesore than the abandoned buildings around it. we have decided it is some kind of tax shelter or money scheme, since it has NEVER been occupied and I don’t think any of the spaces have ever been sold. UGH. DOB help!
Is it just my monitor or does the facade of this building look…furry?
I, too, walked past it not too long ago. Whoa is this thing horrendous, and even worse in person. Knock it down and start over again!
I saw it with my wife not long ago. The doors to nowwhere really force one to laugh aloud.
i swear, they built this place with whatever materials were on clearance sale at Home Depot each morning. So much worse than fedders’ nonsense…and I didn’t think that was possible in New York.
This is Brooklyn’s worse building ever. Every time I walk pass that big mess I just want to throw a brick at it. Can we just tear this building down ASAP! It gives me a headache when I look at it. Who was the architect? I think they got the architect from the pre-school across the street. The architect and the owner should be forced to live in this building. How did the city approve this? Maybe the city did not approve this building and that’s why no one has moved as of yet. It has sat empty for some time now and it such a great location. I think this guy illegally took some materials from that crazy house around the corner near Irving. I think the reason for those doors leading to nowhere is for you to commit suicide once you have been in this horror structure…
