(Damn, this looks fabulous. Too bad I will be in Poland when it happens. Please go and report back!)
iCi joins forces with Green Gourmet to celebrate
“The Art of Taste”
On Thursday July 12th iCi partners with Green Gourmet to present The Art of Taste: a new dining experience where guests dine and discover in one bite!
The evening begins with an interactive class led by food educators Elizabeth J.E. Johnson & Ludie R Minaya from Green Gourmet. Through tasting and journaling guests explore the five flavors and realize the connection between taste and health. Diners learn that balancing the five flavors is the secret to creating delicious meals and to maintaining health and vitality.
Following the class guests enjoy a dinner prepared by Chef Laurent Saillard of iCi Restaurant. The meal incorporates examples of the five flavors while featuring the freshest summer foods grown in and around New York City.
Class & Dinner $70

sounds good but for $70 you can go to a great restaurant anywere in brooklyn and the city, I used to work in a great place in the village and offer that with wine tasting as well, this seems to be pricy to me!
When I saw the title at a glance I thought it said FARTING AND LEARNING AT ICI
I agree with the first poster. 70 bucks for a chicken breast? iCi is nice but I don’t know about that…
Had brunch there yesterday with friends- relunctantly.(my previous meals there over the past years have always been tasty- but with horrible service) We waited 45 minutes to get our coffee ,drinks and a water refill. We did try to get somene’s attention, but we were ignored, until a friend of mine went inside to report our dissatisfaction. Our food came one half hour later. I love a two hour relaxed brunch, but not when the staff seems to forgotten of my existence.Has anyone else had similar service malfunctions at iCi?
I have to say I am a little surprised by the comments.. I have just booked to go with my husband, and the $70 includes everything: 5 course menu, wine, tax, tips+ the class. I don’t see that as being pricey!
I got a call from iCi yesterday saying the event had been postponed, most likely until September.
