Wow. WOW. I stopped into Frank White last Friday and I have to say, I was blown away! The space inside is completely gorgeous. I’d kinda like the decorator to renovate my apartment. There’s a lot of open space, gorgeous chandeliers, cool magazines to read. The space thing may prove awkward once they become busier, as there’s not a whole lot of seating (right now, a table and chairs, plus the two chairs near the window and a window seat). They do have a large back garden area, however, that will tide them over until cold weather season.
As readers have commented, the name IS a throwback to the Notorious B.I.G., and they’ll soon have a permanent photo of him hung inside. Pretty awesome, seeing as he grew up just up the street. They plan on doing various art installations as well. I suspect the space would be amazing for private parties as well.
When I stopped in, I met the managers as well as another woman on staff. They were all super excited and very nice. The service was great! Props to them for opening such a gorgeous space. Be sure to stop by and check it out – we need to make sure they get enough foot traffic to stick around.

What do they sell?
And where is it?
Foot traffic? On Atlantic? I live 2 blocks away and I never walk down that part of Atlantic. It’s not like Atlantic is a great street to take a stroll on. I’ll make a special trip over there to check it out, though.
Who hangs out during the hours of 7am to 3pm? I wish them well. Not alot of foot traffic in that area. Hope they have signage to attract the vehicles that drive by.
Notorious B.I.G _did_ use Frank White as an alias, but he sourced it from the movie King of New York starring Christopher Walken.
Maybe not the best movie in the world, but fun to watch the scenes in DUMBO.
even though its a bit out of my way, i went over this morning (they now open at 8am). coffee is great! and as a freelance writer its a great place to hang during the day (they have wifi)!
oh i was told they host private events in the evenings. its a great place for my upcoming birthday party! libras rule!
sean–college students hang out at that time, as well as freelancers of all kinds, stay at home dad’s/mom’s, and those who don’t work 9-5 jobs.
oh excuse me my above comment was for BREE.
Oooh, birthday party space — great idea! I hope it’s affordable.
So in to Fraank White. Totally cool owner, nice vibe, spacious…what more can you ask for? Lets all support instead of nitpick’in.
