I’m not convinced that the owners of the former halal buffet style restaurant have done anything here other than redo the front. I think it’s essentially the same place and food.
i will never go in there. i consider it to be for the mosque attendees and other muslims.
please who is going to get in other than the mosque attendees? I guess they need to eat as well, open some diverse and good places now!

Um, Muslims cook well and like to eat good, too, people. You’re not going to catch anything by deciding to break bread with them.

Vertical Blinds and Hand Written Menus–THE HORROR!!
My husband and I stopped in a few weeks ago for dinner. It was deserted and smelled bad. The menu was limited and featured African cuisine (but I forget which region–it wasn’t something we were familiar with.)
We ended up not eating there given the bad vibe.
i’m not really interested in it, either. hate the tilework on the outside, too. i’m such a hipster.
Some of the best food around can be found in places that have hand-written signs and less-than hip decor. This collective snap judgment of places like that makes it easier for people like me to enjoy them. But I suppose the minute it’s written up in Time Out or something you all will be flocking to it…
I went there one night, the food was very good and the people were nice.
I just gotta say…i hate the new whitified Ft Greene Clinton Hill. Ya’ll crkrs kill me! you suck the flavor outta everyplace on the globe that you touch!
now run out and volunteer for Obama! opps he might have eaten halal before.

the food is amazing at miriam. i live in fg and find myselg making the trek up fulton in the bitter cold for a taste of the buffet. u guys are missing out fo sho!
