I was finally able to make it over to the old Beezu spot (221 DeKalb) to check out a reported new boutique. It was, as one tipster described it, “kind of like Stuart & Wright.”
The clothing looked marginally less expensive (talking a tiny margin here), but they also carry some lotions and letterpress greeting cards (which will certainly allow me to pick up a few items and support a local store without breaking the bank).
The two women working were friendly and personable, available to customers and did not ignore me in favor of continuing a loud conversation on the phone. This in itself makes the shop so much more lovely than Beezu.
They’ve only been open for a week — check it out!

I’ve only peeked through the window so far, but it looks like they have some lovely things there. Looking forward to checking it out.
I stumbled upon it yesterday while taking a walk, and couldn’t agree more. While the clothes are a little too pricey for me, the jewelry was beautiful and the staff was so nice. I’ll probably check them out again.
I agree with all the comments. Love all the clothes, but just plain cannot afford the prices even if they were half off.
Beautiful things. Way too damn expensive. These kinds of shops just piss me off.
that baby store sucked. the french woman who owned it was obnoxious and insane. im glad that someone else took over the place.
I have also been in and wondered who in the neighborhood can afford these clothes?
yeessssssss! Thanks for the update. Sad though that clothes aren’t more than a little less expensive than S&W. And totally agree- that baby store was not the best.
Am glad to see the baby store gone as the owner hired help who didn’t know childrens sizes ! Go figure. Also was WAY too $$ in my book. $30.00 for a Che Tee Shirt.
there are also men who live in these neighborhoods who could truly benefit from a great, affordable clothing store. i wish, i wish, i wish i could buy a decent summer wardrobe somewhere in the area without going bankrupt!! i’m all for vintage clothing too, but normally used pants with size 34 waist measurements have been washed and shrunk down to 30. anyone have any good tips for cool men’s attire that fit normal bodies nearby?
The way i see it the babyshop was way more inline with the hood needed despite anything and this new one just seems another hyped up come and soon to be go sotre like the one that was above ICI and all the crap opening up along Fulton. I mean i aint no fan of children but baby stores are hard to come by and if anyplace needed one it was here…..besides you actually think the hat store is anymore needed, cause it aint….its just fun to have and thats the bottom line. Cause KidNova said so!!!
