Frank White is, hands down, one of the most beautiful establishments in the neighborhood. They have a huge back patio area, and are now open later (7pm!) for people who want to swing in after work.
They also have a greatly expanded menu!!! This is happy news:
Sandwiches, smoothies, waffles (which they’ve had for awhile and which are a-m-a-z-i-n-g). We must patronize our Atlantic Ave pioneers!
(Frank White is located on Atlantic Ave at St. James Pl.)

did you hear about the guy who fell through a street grate that opened up as he walked over it, in clinton hill? yikes!! i read about it in the daily news or ny post, can’t remember which. the guy is ok by the way!
that was in Bed-Stuy – Willoughby and Marcy…
And this has exactly what to do with this cafe?
i’ve stopped by frank white’s a few times, and sadly, each and every time it was quite disappointing.
don’t get me wrong, the place is adorable inside and the service is very friendly. the thing is, the service area is just not set up right and it takes them forever to get you your order (even if it’s just a simple cup of coffee).
also, don’t make the mistake of ordering an espresso drink – the machine they have is straight up cheap and the drinks end up tasting worse than if you got them at the gas station.
i really hope they figure out the service process soon and get some better coffee beans/espresso equipment in there. it’s sort of a trek to get to atlantic and it makes it not appealing if you know you’ll end up with watered down coffee that takes 10 minutes to get. (especially since the outpost is so close!)
Coffee with hershey’s in it does not make a mocha, served luke warm at the end of the cold season. Not what I was expecting…
