Reader / photographer David Velez noticed that while the Obama deli awning was up yesterday morning, it had been taken down by the afternoon!
What happened? Did Obama’s people find out about this and threaten a lawsuit? Did the deli close already?

Someone vandalized it.
Well I thought it was in bad taste and I guess so did someone else. But to vandalize it, is a little disrespectful.
Last time I walked past it, someone had painted Obama white.

Last week, the picture of Pres. Obama had been (spray?) painted black/white. Unclear whether that was vandalism or an attempt to make it less noticeable prior to removing awning (it was pretty, neat, I guess, for vandalism). Anyone have any further information?

No problem KGS – sharing info is what we are all here for more or less – have a good Summer
From my wife talking to another merchant…
Gross underestimation of the cost of opening a deli.
Feel really bad for the guy, but you have to do your due diligence.
