If you are curious about the NYC water transmission and distribution system, ie., the aqueducts and lakes they come from, I highly recommend a trip to the Queens Museum. That combined with the World Fair to-scale replica of the 5 boroughs makes the Museum a great afternoon activity.
& yes the Queens Museum is good…love the to-scale replica which was displayed at the World Fair and has actually been kept up to date with new buildings as well as teardowns. It’s cool !
