I just love this house on Washington Avenue between Myrtle and Park – the weathered wood siding and the peeling teal paint on the garden level. It’s unexpected architectural surprises like these that make the neighborhood so cool.
Anyone ever been inside? A bit of research tells me the house has been in the same family for awhile.

I’ve never been in it, but I know that house had a fire sometime in the seventies and was boarded up for a long time. The clapboard front was added in the eighties I think. (I remember it progressing slowly, but not sure when). So it’s probably not much different from the place to its left, except rebuilt.
I used to live in the rental of the top floor of the house to the left of it. I was told by my old landlord that at one time before they purchased their house, they used to be one building.
